Barbwire's Barbershop - A Raw and Authentic Album
Barbershop: Eric Barber's Passion Project to Expand Hip-Hop in Detroit
-
The Inspiration
Barbershop started as a passion project between friends and grew to be much more. Through watching other music artists put their talents in the studio and watching the music process unfold - the team saw the potential in creating a full studio album project.

The Process
After numerous hardships in the album creation process. Barbershop is now back on track for a strong presence in the hip-hop scene. Working with notable artists such as Guilty Simpson, Bizarre, Dizzy Wright, while also not forgetting his friends who got him there such as Airsoftfatty, Big Linny, Mike the Madman and more. Barbershop gets its biggest strength from being a raw and authentic telling of lived experiences.

The Goal
The entire Barbershop mission by Barbwire is ultimately to grow and expand the hip-hop scene. Detroit has always had the potential to be the top scene in the country but always has been shadowed by Atlanta, NYC, and LA. Personal goals for this album project are to solidify Barbwire as a dot connector for the Detroit scene, a Billboard 200 placement, and recognition at the Detroit Music Awards.
